abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a vinylsilyl group-containing silicon compound useful as a graft-modifying component of an organic polymer or a component of vinyl polymerization / hydrosilylation polymerization. SOLUTION: A silicon compound (1) having a silanol group or a hydrolyzable group X is reacted with a vinyl group-containing organometallic reagent (2) to replace the group X in (1) with a vinyl group, A group-containing silicon compound (3) is produced. A useful vinylsilyl group-containing silicon compound can be easily obtained at a high yield.
