(57) [Abstract] [Problem] To provide a new evaluation method of a psychotropic drug. SOLUTION: A knockout mouse in which the function of a gene encoding angiotensin II type 2 receptor is deficient on a chromosome exhibits symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or hyperemotion, which are characteristically observed in mental disorders. By administering a test drug to a mouse and examining the degree of improvement in those symptoms, the psychotropic drug activity of the test drug can be evaluated appropriately and promptly. |
