abstract (57) [Summary] In a method of reducing and capturing a noble metal cyano complex ion in an aqueous solution using a metal ion treating agent in which an anthrahydroquinone compound is supported on a porous carrier, a compound having a reactivity with cyanide ion is provided. And a method for recovering a noble metal by treating the aqueous solution in the presence of a metal compound such as nickel or an aldehyde. [Effect] By reacting with the cyanide ion released when the noble metal cyano complex ion is reduced, the reduction reaction of the noble metal cyano complex ion by the metal ion treating agent can be smoothly performed, and the noble metal can be efficiently reduced and captured.
