abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a magnetic recording medium which is excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristics, has excellent running durability and prevents head dirt, clogging and the like. SOLUTION: In a magnetic recording medium provided with a magnetic layer containing at least a ferromagnetic powder and a binder on a non-magnetic support, the binder is added with a poor solvent 0.5 to 3 times the binder solution. A magnetic recording medium using a binder from which a low molecular weight component is removed by separating the liquid layer into which a large amount of low molecular weight component is dissolved and a liquid layer in which a large amount of high molecular weight component is dissolved. |
