abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a magnetic recording medium which is excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristics, has excellent running durability and prevents head dirt, clogging and the like. SOLUTION: The weight average molecular weight is 10,000 to 6000. In a solution of the binder in the range of 0, a poor solvent having no active hydrogen such as acetonitrile having a difference from the solubility parameter of the binder of 1.3 or more and less than 2.3 is contained in the mixed solution. A poor solvent having a difference between the solubility parameter of the solvent and the solubility parameter of the binder of 1.0 or more and less than 2.0 is added to separate and precipitate, and the content of the low molecular weight component having a molecular weight of 5000 or less in the binder is reduced. A magnetic recording medium using a binder of not more than 3% by weight of the weight. |
