titleOfInvention | Novel phenol derivatives and their pharmaceutical uses |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel compound having both a cholesterol lowering action, an LDL antioxidant action and an HDL increasing action, and a therapeutic agent for hyperlipidemia using the same. SOLUTION: General formula (I): (In the formula, R 1 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an unsubstituted or phenyl group having a substituent at the p-position; R 2 represents an amino group or a hydroxyl group. And R 3 and R 4 together represent another direct bond, or R 2 and R 3 together represent an oxo or imino group, and R 4 represents a hydrogen atom; R 5 represents a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R 6 and R 7 each independently represent a straight-chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. A represents- Represents CH 2 — or —NHCH 2 —. A) a phenol derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, and a therapeutic agent for hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis containing the same as an active ingredient. |
