PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing 2- [N- (biphenyl-4-yl) methyl] alkylamido-3-nitropyridine in high yield. SOLUTION: A 2-alkylamido-3-nitropyridine derivative is reacted with an active biphenyl derivative in a solvent in the presence of a quaternary ammonium salt, a quaternary phosphonium salt or a pyridimium salt and an alkali. |
