abstract (57) Abstract: It is possible to print with uniform quality without substantially lowering the resolution even when the temperature of the print head changes or the ambient temperature changes, and also the printing gradation level can be made accurate. A CPU 5 corrects image data to be printed based on a temperature detected by a temperature sensor 40, and generates a print data signal from the corrected image data. A head application signal for driving the print head 16 is generated from the corrected print data signal.
