abstract (57) [Summary] [Constitution] A water-dispersed slurry of titanium oxide particles containing a wetting agent is applied to an activated carbon base material, or the activated carbon base material is dipped in the slurry and then dried to obtain an activated carbon base material. The titanium oxide particles are carried on top. [Effect] Titanium oxide particles can be uniformly and strongly supported on the activated carbon base material. The resulting support material is useful as an adsorbent, a catalyst, a photocatalyst, and a filter.
