abstract | (57) Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a prismatic battery in which deformation of a container in a sealing step is avoided, sealing reliability is improved, and dimensional problems are eliminated. SOLUTION: A step portion 2 formed below the opening portion 1 by expanding the opening portion 1 in advance has a shape protruding inward.
