abstract | (57) Abstract: (A) a solid component containing a metal oxide, magnesium, titanium, a halogen, and an electron-donating compound as essential components, (B) an organoaluminum compound, and (C) a specific structural formula A polymerization catalyst comprising a solid catalyst component obtained by prepolymerizing propylene in the presence of an alkyltrialkoxysilane component represented by the formula, a component (B) and (D) an alkyltrialkoxysilane represented by a specific structural formula. A method for producing a propylene copolymer having an ethylene content of 0.1 to 6% by weight, which comprises copolymerizing propylene and ethylene. [Effect] By using the method of the present invention, a random copolymer of propylene and ethylene having a wide molecular weight distribution and a small amount of low stereoregular components can be efficiently produced. |
