(57) 【Abstract】 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of particle agglomerates due to caking of particles when nickel hydroxide having a cobalt compound on the surface is heat-treated with an alkali to produce a nickel agglomerate. Improve battery characteristics such as active material utilization rate and high rate discharge characteristics. SOLUTION: Granules of nickel hydroxide having cobalt hydroxide deposited on the surface are stored on a mesh disk 4 of a fluidized granulator 1. Hot air is sent to the hot air inlet 5 from the outside and air is taken in from the air outlet 8 to stir with the stirring blade 3 while heating the granular material with the hot air, and the granular material is dispersed with the hot air. In this state, the pump 9 is operated to spray the alkaline aqueous solution from the spray nozzle 7. After spraying, the alkali heat treatment is completed by continuing stirring in a hot air stream. |
