Provided is an efficient method for producing polyarylene sulfide capable of increasing the purity of AS. SOLUTION: N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) Lithium hydroxide, hydrogen sulfide, and paradichlorobenzene (PDCB) are preliminarily polymerized as polymerization components, and water is added to the obtained polymerization solution (I) to separate a polymer concentrated phase and a solvent phase, Then, a solvent (NMP and water) is added to the separated polymer-rich phase for main polymerization. |
