(57) Abstract: A method for producing 3-methyl-2-phenylbutylamine with high optical purity simply and efficiently industrially is provided. SOLUTION: An amide compound of 3-methyl-2-phenylbutylamine having a racemic form or low optical purity has the ability to asymmetrically hydrolyze the amide compound, Rhodococcus, Nocardia, Cellulomonas, Gordona. It is possible to efficiently produce 3-methyl-2-phenylbutylamine having high optical purity by allowing a microorganism of the genus Serratia or genus Candida or a preparation thereof to act. |
