abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic component and a method for mounting the electronic component that can be easily and accurately mounted on a wiring board. According to the present invention, a plurality of first dummy bumps 15 are formed on an electronic component 11, and second dummy bumps 17 having a melting point between the first bumps 13 are formed. As a result, the positional deviation can be corrected and mounted. Further, the present invention provides the electronic component 11 with a plurality of first parts. Dummy dummy bumps 15 are formed, a plurality of second dummy bumps 17 are formed, and a plurality of third dummy bumps 26 and a plurality of fourth dummy bumps are formed on the wiring board 21, and then the first dummy bumps 15 and each of the first dummy bumps 15 are formed. The third dummy bumps 26 are aligned and bonded, the second dummy bumps 17 and the fourth dummy bumps 27 are bonded, and the first bumps 13 and the second bumps 25 are bonded to each other, so that the positional deviation occurs.
