titleOfInvention Use of dimer and / or trimer aminopropionic acid for oiling finish of leather
abstract (57) [Summary] At least one of the carboxyl groups (—CO 2 H) present in the dimer or trimer fatty acid is —CH 2 N [CH 2 —CH 2 —CO 2 H] 2 and / or —CH 2 N [ A dimer and / or trimer aminopropionic acid obtained by conversion into a CH 2 —CH (CH 3 ) —CO 2 H] 2 group. The compound (I) is used in the form of an acid or its alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt, ammonium salt, alkyl ammonium salt or alkanol ammonium salt. These aminopropionic acids are suitable for the oiling finish of leather. Leathers treated in this way are especially distinguished by their good resistance to washing and cleaning, fogging and water.
