(57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides the secretion of heterologous proteins in plant systems. In particular, the invention provides for the production of heterologous proteins by malting monocot seeds. Heterologous genes are expressed during seed germination and isolated from malt. Chimeric genes, vectors and methods relating to the present invention are also disclosed. Protein production by cell culture techniques is also described. |
