titleOfInvention Method and composition for the treatment of androgen dependent diseases using optically pure R-(-)-casodex
abstract (57) [Summary]nOptical Pure R for Treating Androgen-Dependent Prostate Cancer, While Substantially Reducing the Synergistic Disadvantages of the Counter-effects Related to Central Antiandrogen Activity of Racemic Mixtures of Casodex -(-)-Casodex utilization methods and compositions are disclosed. R-(-)-Casodex is a peripherally selective anti-androgen and is therefore useful in the treatment of other male hormone-dependent conditions or conditions induced by elevated androgen levels. These conditions include benign prostatic hyperplasia or thickening, acne, and hirsutism.
