abstract | (57) [Summary] An infusion device (12) for delivering a beneficial agent such as a drug to a patient at a substantially constant rate. This device is unique with a manifold system (14) to which multiple elastomeric prada type injection devices (16) are connected. Each infusion device has a functional matrix disposed therein, which carries a beneficial agent, such that the functional matrix can mix with the liquid introduced into the device to inflate the prada, and the liquid mixture into the manifold system, and then therewith. Is a source of energy for controlled distribution from the patient to the patient. The manifold system is equipped with a control valve that allows liquid from the selected injection device to be dispensed from the device. |
