(57) [Summary] By adding elements 16 and 17 between at least one electrode (oxygen electrode 5 and / or fuel electrode 4) and an electrolyte 6, an electrical device of an electrochemical device such as a fuel cell 1 is provided. The performance and durability of the elements of the fuel cell can be significantly improved and extended. Performance can be further improved by designing at least one electrode 4, 5 to modify its flow characteristics.
