titleOfInvention | Non-spectrophotometric measurement of analyte concentration and optical properties of objects |
abstract | (57) [Summary] The present invention relates to an improved non-invasive test method for glucose and other components in a sample. The apparatus and method of the present invention replaces the spectrophotometer and narrow band radiation source used in other non-invasive near-infrared detection methods, preferably a technique similar to human visual color perception in the near-infrared region. I will provide a. Color detectors and photometers are approximated using multiple detector units each covering a large overlapping area of the detected spectrum. The improvement is primarily concerned with improving the signal to noise ratio such that the data flow is improved. These improvements use congruent or equivalent sampling, comparison of different data streams from different sample parts or filter sets, use an interrogator with sufficient speed to allow testing of arterial blood, and Use a filter. In some environments, neural nets are used for analysis in order to train the device. A novel method for discriminating background is also disclosed. |
