titleOfInvention Language synthesis
abstract (57) [Summary] The language synthesis system is a phonological converter (10), word dissector (11), syllable dissector (12), time and parameter translator (13, 14), file (15). And a synthesizer (16). The word dissector (11) dissects each word to determine which of the defined classes of words it belongs to. The word dissector (11) and the syllable dissector (10) receive input text containing words within a defined word class. The word dissector (11) includes a knowledge base, and the knowledge base includes individual morphemes used in a defined word class, each morpheme that is a root or an affix, a combined property of each root and each affix, and each affix. The associative property, which also defines the associative property of affixes with other affixes or other root combinations, and how rule sets are combined to form words with roots and affixes Equipped with things. The syllable dissector (10) determines the phonological features of each syllable component of the input text. The prosody dissector (12) determines the syllable stress pattern for each word. The time and parameter translator (13, 14) translates the stress patterns along with phonological features to produce a sequence of parameter value sets for driving the synthesizer (16). The synthesizer (16) produces the speech waveform. If desired, the parameter values may be stored in the file (15) for later use.
