titleOfInvention | Dryer Activated Fabric Conditioning Products Having Soft Polyester Substrates |
abstract | (57) [Summary] Improved after use in an automatic cloth dryer, having improved feel properties compared to conventional polyester substrates and / or feel properties not significantly different from conventional rayon substrates. In a dryer-activated fabric softener product having a spunbonded polyester substrate, wherein (A) at least about 5% of a fabric conditioning composition comprising a fabric conditioning activator; and (B) from about 2%. A polyester non-woven substrate made from polyester fibers having a denier of about 6, having a basis weight of about 0.52 ounces / yard 2 to about 0.58 ounces / yard 2 , and a thickness of about 0.16 mm. Is about 0.22 mm and preferably has a tear strength of at least about 3 lbs / in 2 in both the transverse and machine directions, and preferably in the transverse direction. 4 to about 7 lbs / in 2 and about 3.1 to about 6 lbs / in 2 in the machine direction, after the product has been used in the automatic fabric dryer and the fabric conditioning composition is A product comprising improved feel properties as compared to conventional substrates of this type after being substantially completely removed from the substrate. |
