titleOfInvention | Cosmetic film-forming composition having freeze-thaw stability |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a cosmetic film-forming composition having freeze-thaw stability, which is particularly useful as a nail coating composition that forms a film to which keratin of the nail adheres when dried. More particularly, the present invention relates to an aqueous emulsion (A) comprising a sulfopolyester and a copolymer of vinyl acetate and a dialkyl maleate or dialkyl fumarate; an aqueous emulsion polymer of acetoacetoxyethylalkyl acrylate or acetoacetoxyethylalkyl. It relates to a cosmetic film-forming composition comprising an aqueous emulsion (B) comprising the polymerization reaction product of an acrylate and a vinyl functional monomer; and (C) a freeze-thaw agent. Freeze-thaw agents impart improved freeze-thaw properties to the composition without compromising desirable properties such as fast dry times and good adhesion. |
