(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To evaluate the secondary structure of a protein produced by genetic engineering techniques, or a protein that has undergone a so-called refolding operation that restores the denatured state to its native form. [Structure] An antibody against a region such as a loop structure of a protein is prepared using a peptide having the amino acid sequence as an antigen, and an antibody that binds to a natural type and an antibody that binds to a denatured type are selected. Then, the binding ability of the antibody to the protein produced by the gene manipulation technique or the protein subjected to the refolding operation is assayed to determine whether the state of the region is natural type or denatured type. |
