(57) Abstract: To provide an air purification device that can be easily used and can efficiently purify air. SOLUTION: This air purification device includes a honeycomb carrier 20 having a large number of through holes 23 parallel to each other, and a honeycomb carrier 2. The thin film 22 of titanium dioxide provided on the inner surface of the partition wall that defines the end surface of 0 and the through hole, and the light emitting diode 4 that irradiates the end surface of the honeycomb carrier 20 with ultraviolet rays. The area of the titanium dioxide thin film 22 is larger than the volume occupied by the honeycomb carrier 20. Further, since the light emitting diode 4 is extremely small, the space for incorporating the light emitting diode 4 may be small, and the air purification device of the present invention can be made compact accordingly. Further, since air can pass through a large number of through holes 23, pressure loss is small. Therefore, a large amount of air can be efficiently purified with a small device. |
