Imaging system to detect diseased tissue using unique fluorescence in the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts |
abstract |
(57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to obtain a test system capable of easily detecting the presence of cancerous or precancerous tissue. An endoscope (102), a monochromatic light source (100) that generates excitation light of an excitation wavelength that causes the tissue (110) to be inspected to emit light of internal fluorescence, the reflected excitation light and the tissue to be examined. Collection means 10 for collecting the light of the internal fluorescence generated by 110 8,114 is the first beam of a wavelength (green) at which the intensity of the internal fluorescent light for the abnormal tissue is substantially different from that of the normal tissue, and the intensity of the internal fluorescent light for the abnormal tissue is substantially the same as the normal tissue A dichroic mirror 120 for splitting into a second beam of wavelength (red) which is the same as the first beam, a first camera 130 for receiving the first beam, and a second beam for receiving the second beam. Camera 126 and a color monitor that produces a pseudo-colored display in which normal and abnormal tissue appear in contrasting colors 150 is provided. |
