abstract |
(57) Abstract: Cloning of a DNA encoding a mammalian hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase. SOLUTION: A cDNA encoding a mammalian hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase is cloned from rat, mouse, and human, and an obtained expression plasmid containing the human hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase ( E. coli BL21 (DE) with pT7-7hHPGDS 3) was transformed. The resulting transformant expressed an extremely large amount of hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase in the cells. In addition, the expressed protein exhibited enzymatic activity in vitro and converted prostaglandin H 2 into prostaglandin D 2 very efficiently. |
