titleOfInvention Positive plate for alkaline storage battery
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Problem] If the alkaline storage battery is left unused for a long period of time, the open circuit voltage will drop, and the charge capacity will not be restored to its original discharge capacity unless it is repeatedly charged and discharged for several cycles. There was a problem that the capacity before leaving could not be obtained. SOLUTION: The molar ratio of cobalt to cadmium is 20:80 to 9 on the surface of a nickel porous body having an oxide film. A positive electrode plate for an alkaline storage battery, which comprises a cobalt mixed compound of 7: 3 and holds an active material mainly containing nickel hydroxide thereon. The ratio of the cobalt mixed compound to the active material mainly containing nickel hydroxide is preferably 1 to 20 wt% when the mixed compound is converted into a hydroxide.
