titleOfInvention | Belt-driven magnetic recording medium |
abstract | (57) [Abstract] (Correction) [Problem] Belt driven magnetic recording medium most suitable for high density recording. A cassette housing with drive access means, a pair of tape reel hubs rotatably mounted within the housing on parallel axes, and a portion wrapped around the hub and extending from one to the other hub. A book recording tape and a recording tape path forming means for forming a recording tape path in the housing, guiding the tape from one hub to the other hub, and traversing a part of the drive access means, and a drive belt forming a drive belt path The path forming means is frictionally engaged with a part of the magnetic recording tape along the drive belt path, and comprises a tape transfer drive belt from one tape reel hub to the other tape reel. A recording tape having a magnetic recording layer on one surface of the body, the magnetic recording layer containing a fatty acid ester lubricant, wherein the amount of the lubricant in the magnetic layer is 100 weight of magnetic powder. A belt drive type magnetic recording medium which is 3 to 6 parts by weight with respect to parts. |
