Kind Code: A1 Abstract: Development of an additive for an aqueous coating system for improving rheological stability, which is supplied by a large-scale industrial device through a conduit (annular conduit). In step (A) (a) 10-45 mol% of one or more diols, (b) 5-50 mol% of one or more polyols having at least 3 OH groups, and (c) one or more dicarboxylic acids. 35-47 mol% Aqueous obtained by subjecting the reaction mixture to a polycondensation reaction in a known manner until the reaction mixture has an acid value of 1 to 10 and reacting the resulting reaction product with an organic polyisocyanate in a known manner in reaction step (B).
