titleOfInvention | Process for producing α-branched long-chain fatty acid |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A method for producing an α-branched long chain fatty acid is provided. In the production of α-branched long chain fatty acid, a reaction product obtained by reacting a dialkyl malonate with an alkyl halide is subjected to alkali hydrolysis without isolation, and then the solvent is distilled off. The following formula (I): characterized in that a residue is obtained, and then 2,2-dialkylmalonic acid obtained by treating the residue with acetic acid is heated and decarboxylated without isolation. 1] (In the formula, R 1 represents a long-chain linear alkyl group.) A method for producing an α-branched long-chain fatty acid. [Effect] According to the present invention, α-branched long-chain fatty acid can be obtained from dialkyl malonate in substantially one pot and in good yield. (I) can be produced. |
