abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To contain oxygen in excess of the theoretical reaction amount to unburned components such as nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and hydrocarbons; Provided is an exhaust gas purification method capable of efficiently reducing and removing nitrogen oxides from a combustion exhaust gas containing water, sulfur oxide, and the like. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purifying material comprising silver and a silver compound supported on a porous inorganic oxide is provided in the middle of an exhaust gas conduit, and an upstream side of the purifying material is composed of a hydrocarbon and an oxygen-containing organic compound. This is an exhaust gas purification method in which exhaust gas to which at least one selected gas and hydrogen are added is brought into contact with the purification material at 200 to 550 ° C to remove the nitrogen oxides. |
