titleOfInvention Spherical viewer device and spherical projection device
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Problem] Panorama that gives a spherical (pseudo-spherical) view Provide viewers. A pyramid-shaped element with four reflective sides and five cameras are used to provide a 360 degree view of an area with four cameras in it. The four reflective side surfaces of this pyramidal element reflect images from four different directions. Each of the four cameras is arranged to receive a reflected image from one of the reflective sides of the pyramid. The four cameras are set to share a common virtual optical center. The fifth camera having the wide-angle lens is arranged so that its optical center is located at the common virtual optical center position. This fifth camera has a view in the direction of the base of this pyramid and when combined with the 360 degree view of the other four cameras provides a pseudo-spherical view.
