abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide an electrophotographic process capable of preventing generation of an abnormal image for a long period of time and obtaining a stable image. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for preventing deterioration of an electrophotographic photosensitive member, in which a polymer charge transport material is contained in the outermost surface layer farthest from the support of the electrophotographic photosensitive member. A mechanism capable of supplying an external additive, which prevents deterioration of a photoconductor during repeated use of an electrophotographic process or improves each function in the electrophotographic process, to the surface of the photoconductor in the electrophotographic process. In the electrophotographic process comprising: an electrophotographic photosensitive member containing a polymer charge transporting material in the outermost layer farthest from the support of the electrophotographic photosensitive member used in the electrophotographic process.
