(57) [Abstract] (Correction) [PROBLEMS] To develop a lubricating oil composition which is excellent in oxidation stability and sludge formation preventing property and does not deteriorate in oxidation stability even when used for a long time under high temperature conditions. SOLUTION: 2-tert-butyl-4-alkyloxymethyl-6 of the general formula 1 is added to 100 parts by weight of a lubricating base oil. 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of alkylphenol and 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of one or more phenol compounds of general formula 2 or 3, for example formula 22 or formula 23, respectively. (R 1 represents a C1-4 alkyl group, and R 2 represents a C1-24 alkyl group or alkenyl group.) |
