SOLUTION: The ceramic raw material powder is molded into a cylindrical body having an axial groove open at least on the inner peripheral surface side, the molded body is fired, and then the outer peripheral surface is ground to form the above-mentioned groove. The split sleeve 10 is manufactured from the step of removing the connecting portion and forming the slits 11 communicating with the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface.
