(57) Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To provide a denitration catalyst for exhaust gas purification having high denitration performance and stoichio durability excellent in low temperature activity, and an exhaust gas purification method using the same with high denitration efficiency. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purifying catalyst comprising an alumina carrier and silver, palladium and zinc supported on the carrier, and a reducing component containing hydrocarbon and a reducing component for oxidizing the reducing component. In a method of purifying nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas using a catalyst in an atmosphere in which oxygen is present in excess of the required stoichiometric amount, purification of nitrogen oxides is performed using the exhaust gas purifying catalyst. An exhaust gas purification method characterized by the above. |
