abstract (57) [Summary] The following formula (I): (In the formula, R 1 represents an amino group or a hydroxyl group, and R 2 and R 3 jointly represent another direct bond, or R 1 and R 2 together represent an oxo group, R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or an N-arylsulfonyl-2-pyrrolidinylmethyl group; R 4 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a trans-2-halovinyl group. Alternatively, it represents an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and ArS represents an arylsulfonyl group. ] The pyrimidine derivative shown by these, or its salt, and the antitumor agent containing this compound as an active ingredient. [Effect] The pyrimidine derivative of the present invention is extremely effective for the treatment of malignant tumors, etc., since it shows toxicity to infinitely dividing cells at low concentrations.
