abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a magnetic recording tape having high durability and reliability, in which the rustproofing effect of the magnetic layer is retained even during storage and use in a high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: In a magnetic recording tape 1 in which a magnetic layer 3 is provided on a base film 2, a rust preventive agent 9 is encapsulated in microcapsules 7 and applied to the base film 2. The magnetic layer 3 is formed on this by vapor deposition. As a result, the microcapsules 7 are destroyed when the magnetic layer 3 is formed, The rust preventive agent 9 contained in the microcapsules 7 flows out and is distributed on the base film 2 in an island shape. |
