abstract | (57) 【Abstract】 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: A paper coating composition is required to have various properties such as adhesive strength, water resistance, ink inking property, and blister resistance. There was no paper coating composition that had a good balance. SOLUTION: A monomer mixture containing (1) a conjugated diene monomer, (2) an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and (3) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer other than (2) is emulsion-polymerized. The copolymer latex obtained is represented by the following general formula (A): ## STR1 ## H 2 N (C 2 H 4 NH) nH (A) (wherein n represents an integer of 1 to 5). A copolymer latex composition characterized in that the pH is adjusted to 4 to 11 by using at least one of the amino compounds shown as a pH adjusting agent has the required properties. |
