titleOfInvention New IFN Inducer
abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to find a novel IFN inducer. According to the present invention, it has been found that single-stranded DNA derived from M13 phage is exceptionally effective as an IFN inducer. Within 4 hours after administration of single-stranded DNA derived from M13 phage (M13 DNA), serum interferon (IFN, predominantly β-type) titers were about 700 I from undetectable levels. IFN was detected over as long as 12 hours after further administration, increasing to as much as U / ml. In addition, when M13 DNA was added to the spleen medium, a large amount of I such as 1050 IU / ml was detected at an undetectable level. Induction of NF was detected in vitro (see Figure 1). Therefore, M13 DNA proved to be a strong IFN inducer.
