(57) Abstract: A method for producing 1-hexene in a reaction for trimerizing ethylene using a catalyst system which is easy to handle and highly active and which is highly selective. SOLUTION: In the reaction of trimerizing ethylene in the presence of a chromium catalyst composed of a chromium compound, an alkyl metal compound and an imide compound, it is selected from the group consisting of an oxygen-containing organic compound, a sulfur-containing organic compound and a phosphorus-containing organic compound. At least one or more hetero element-containing organic compounds are used in an amount of 0.1 to 100,000 per mol of the chromium compound. It is added to the reaction system at a ratio of 0 equivalent. |
