abstract (57) Abstract: To provide an optical film having a high light transmittance and an excellent light diffusion property. SOLUTION: In an optical film in which a light diffusion layer 2 is provided on one surface or both surfaces of a transparent support 1, an ionizing radiation curable resin is preferably used as a resin 3 constituting the light diffusion layer 2. %, A small amount of the light diffusing agent 4 is dispersed. Such an optical film exhibits an excellent light diffusing effect even if the content of the light diffusing agent in the light diffusing layer is small, and exhibits a high light transmittance because the content of the light diffusing agent is small. Therefore, it is suitable for use in combination with a light diffusing sheet or a prism lens of a color liquid crystal display device which is particularly required to have brightness.
