SOLUTION: A first material comprising a porous inorganic oxide carrying 0.2 to 15% by weight (in terms of a metal element) of one or more elements and / or compounds selected from the group consisting of silver and silver compounds. A mixture of a catalyst and zirconia or a second catalyst comprising zirconia and one or more elements selected from the group consisting of silver and silver compounds and / or a compound supporting 5% by weight or less (in terms of metal element). It is a nitrogen oxide removing material.
