(57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a non-sintered nickel electrode for an alkaline storage battery, which is used in an alkaline storage battery such as a nickel-hydrogen storage battery or a nickel-cadmium storage battery and has a high utilization rate of an active material. SOLUTION: The composite particles are obtained by forming a conductive layer made of a lithium-containing cobalt compound having a lithium content of 0.1 wt% to 10 wt% on the surface of nickel hydroxide particles or particles containing nickel hydroxide as a main component. A non-sintered nickel electrode is formed by using the active material. |
