titleOfInvention Exhaust gas purification catalyst and exhaust gas purification method
abstract (57) Abstract: A catalyst for removing nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas discharged from a lean-burn engine and an efficient exhaust gas purification method using the same are provided. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purifying catalyst comprising an alumina carrier and palladium and zinc supported on the carrier, and a reducing component containing hydrocarbon and a reducing component necessary for oxidizing the reducing component. In a method of purifying nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas using a catalyst in an atmosphere in which oxygen is present in excess of stoichiometric amount, it is necessary to purify nitrogen oxides using the above exhaust gas purifying catalyst. A characteristic exhaust gas purification method.
