abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide an apparatus capable of providing image information representing a color with high accuracy by using a small number of color patches. [Configuration] Using three or more gray patches having different densities, a conversion formula for converting image information to be evaluated including optical information into lightness spatial information with equiproportion to human eyes is determined, and the gray patches are determined.
