titleOfInvention | Method for producing 6-bromo-2-naphthol |
abstract | (57) Abstract: [Problem] 6-Bromo-2-naphthol is economically and industrially produced by bromination and debromination of 2-naphthol. SOLUTION: 2-Naphthol is subjected to a bromination reaction with bromine in an alcohol solvent to give 1,6-dibromo-2-naphthol, and an alkali sulfite aqueous solution is used as a reaction system without separating 1,6-dibromo-2-naphthol. To 6-bromo-2-naphthol to convert it to 6-bromo-2-naphthol, and liquid-liquid separate the reaction solution to recover 6-bromo-2-naphthol. |
