titleOfInvention Medical electric lead and manufacturing method thereof
abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a medical lead in which a drug having a low solubility in water or below is attached to the surface thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the lead (10) of the present invention comprises an electrode (22) treated with a steroid having a very low solubility in water, such as beclomethasone dipropionate anhydrous. Preferably, the steroid is applied to the surface of the electrode that contacts the tissue when implanted. Further, the present application discloses a method of manufacturing such a lead.
